Trying to sell Nissan 4x4 L reg. 1993 with 150k on clock - engine runs brilliantly and have had for ages! Love it to bits but wife wants newer version! Any ideas how to sell either as running work horse or spares/repairs?

Hi welcome to the club.
My Maverick is a 1995 ( Terrano in disguise)... there is NO WAY I would consider even swapping mine for a later model, no matter how much money they were willing to pay me.:lol:lol

But then, I have had mine some time...:doh
I know every nut bolt and washer that has been replaced over the years.

Rust on the front wings and under the rear floor are a weakness, more on later models, may be they cut back on rust treatment, or maybe FORD insisted on better under seal than standard Nissan, as the Maverick was the first FORD badged vehicle ever... to have a three year warranty in the UK.
They had to match the three year warranty offered by Nissan for the Terrano.

Likewise - my Terrano is 20 years old (although I have owned it for only 5 of those) Like Rustic there is no way I would consider changing it for a later model. These early ones were built more substantially, had less electronics (which is one of the main areas of problem with the later ones). The engine is simpler, no intercooler, no MAF, no crank position sensor, ok, it might be a fraction slower than the I/c model, although when my daughter had her '96 i/c Terrano mine would leave hers for dead (she now has a swb Shogun and I still leave her for dead).
Talk 'er indoors round ajm52 - you know it makes sense!

Don't you need to be a paid up member to be able to buy/sell?

Seems to be an advert?

Yes I think he should, But even if he is considering buying a new one, he ought to be a member to know what to look for.

We can save him far more than £10 or at least... Be able to negotiate the price down based on what we know.

I'm going to let this one run for a bit as of the owner does end up buying a new one he may end up joining anyways but if I do feel its just an advert plug I'll pull the thread.

Lets give the guy some help boys :)

Sorry about seeming like an advert, I am disabled and can therefore no longer look after the things that need doing on this car, having done everything for the past couple of couple of decades. Sorry people feel so strongly about the £10 I will with draw post and seek advice elsewhere. Thank you to those who were in kinder/gentler mode - much appreciated the comments.

On a serious note though be careful what new model you buy, some are made f cheesecake and some can have serious and costly issues!
