Hi to all I'm a new Navara d40 owner on a 2005 with 82,000 miles
Just wanted to know how many d40 owners have had there cam chains looking at ?? Is its something every Navara owner has to get done?? Or are they generally ok .exuse my ignorance iv had hilux an Isuzu never had a Navara thanks for your time

Hi and welcome aboard. Sorry not had anything to do with navs. Theres a d40 service manual in the downloads section but you'd need full membership to get to it.

Hi and welcome, the only Navara I have dealt with was a 2.5 and that was gear driven, (well certainly to the I.P.) what engine do you have? Rick

It's a 2.5 diesel with 6 speed gear box

OK I will have to look this up but the pump I changed was gear driven, but of course there could be a chain prior to this, do not know, but will come back, Rick

Yep just down loaded the D40 manual yes it is Duplex chain to the cam shafts, but everything you could possibly want to know is in the manual pay your tenner and you can download it yourself, it is under Briggies manuals,and a small donation to Briggie would be good for the effort and time he put in too sorting all the manuals that you will see on there, he covers the whole range, Rick
