Hi extreme I made my snorkle with southdown bits as defender. I put the flexi inside the wing and brought it out with the southdown wing moulding. It fits almost perfectly. I used the southdown air intake on top too.
Pic is in the gallery under custom snorkel in "backgrounds" for some reason!
I used s/s exhaust pipe for up the screen bit with a couple of bends in. Sorted for a mere £60
Cheers

Hello makeitfit, that does look like a tidy solution. Does the Southdown wing moulding have any tubing that goes through the wing ?

I've seen a picture of a Terrano, where the guy fitted a Safari snorkel from a Jeep XJ 4.0 lt, which fitted quite well, but the vertical part sat slightly forward of the 'A' pillar. The way to make this look right would be to turn the top around to face the rear. It fitted well over the wing though.

Lee.

Hi Lee the wing moulding is just the moulding with a hole in it. I b rought the flexi pipe from behind the wing and sealed it to the bottom of the s/s pipe. I could have got the bends to follow the screen if I could have found a 2 1/2" pipe bender!
When I'm off road I turn the air intake round so trees dont get stuck in it.
Personally I dont like the big plastic lump along the wing thing especially for that sort of money :?
