Hi all new member who needs help

Hi all, just got myself a 2005 terrano 2.7 and love it to bits only had it a few days but have noticed what I thought was an oil leak but turns out to be a leak from the high pressure fuel pump. On closer examination I can see there is some sort of large nut 24mm with a wire going to the top of it and seems to be leaking diesel out of where the sensor bolts into the pump as when you run the car you can see it leaking. Could anyone help me as I'm a bit worried about this. Could any one tell me what the sensor or regulator is for as it bolts into the top of the pump as you look down onto it. Many thank to you all. are you refering to the fuel filter primer ?
pictures are always good to identify

Hi it's on the pump itself with a 24 mm nut and has a wire going to the top of it.

Sounds like the fuel shut of solenoid, But I am not O-fay with anything later than a 98 TDi, but a pic would help, Rick

Fuel leak fixed ( I think)

Look like it wasn't that valve thing after all, it was a thin pipe which comes off one of the injectors and runs down to the pump. I'm going to change all the bleed off pipe and does any one know the inside diamater of the pipe and is it an easy job. Thanks. John
