Hi we are having starting problem with our Terrano 2.7tdi (o2 plate.76000 miles) started acting up 3 weeks ago, would start ok but a misfire would come on just after it had started this would only last a few seconds then run ok the problem has got worse it now take a lot of starting also white smoke from exhaust when cranking over.had a look at the little filter on top of the pump that seems clear.. any HELP please

I don't know if is the same problem, but I had a similar issue this time last year with my Patrol. As soon as it started getting colder. Poor starting and lots of white smoke. Once it had started it was fine for the rest of the day. It was the glow plugs. They had worn away. New set and never had the problem again. :thumbs

yes mate glow plugs, but please do not fit the ceramic ones, I have loads of them here that I have removed, they break up and cos so hard damage pistons, Rickl
