Get a 3.0L :lol:lol

I used to remove the air filter housing and then straddle the engine bay, twist my arm into a deformed shape and pray I could turn the filter.
Others on here have removed the n/s wheel and gone in through the arch.
I now have a 3.0L, which is Sooo easy to do ;)

thanks for that :thumb2

take the wheel off and go in through the wheel arch

Yep easier to go through wheel arch.

Cheers Gav

+1 for that method :thumb2

Way easier especially if the oil is lukewarm, remove wheel, remove splash guard (series of clips) and you're away :clap

I just lean over the N/S wing & use a large pair of pump pliers to slacken it off but don't forget to cover the chassis leg & front diff as oil always spills out & drips down afterwards for days:doh

I do mine through the wheel arch. Put a bucket underneath, unscrew the filter and let it drop. I find its the easiest and cleanest way:thumb2

Wheel arch.I have done it,leaning over the wing/engine.But going through the wheel arch is easier.
