HELP Y61 troll diff gone bang

My Y61 (2000) Troll started making a noise when turning right, googled it to find out prob issue front diff, so took to the garage only to be told that diff was full of gunk, looks like previouse owner had added a addative to keep it quiate!! they have replaced with oil and now its even worse.
Garage says need new front diff..... they will not supply however will fit for 200 pounds.

HELP what can I do......

seen a nice 54 reg in local forecourt only prob is the 10K price tag.

Cheers PATBHOY, I have used these guys before and have already sent a mail to ask.... They sold me a aircon pipe for 45 pounds nissan wanted 300.
 
No probs Brian, i've no untoward noises but changing all my transmission fluids is a job i have planned in the next coming week or so.
Would you happen to know how much oil the front and rear diffs hold.
 
Sorry M8 I had the nice guy at the garage do mine.... mind you to reoil the diff and tighten the hubs cost me 70 pound........
 
Got new diff

Nissan 1st came up trumps again!!!! sold me a diff for 500 including postage (direct to garage) and 3 months warenty.
Should be fitted in the morning..... lets hope it stops the noise when I turn right.....

Where are Nissan 1st and do they have a website?
 
These guys have come to my rescue twice now. I have even told them that they are famous at the nissan 4x4 owners club...........
If you do need them make sure you mention the site.... I think we could request a discount if we keep using them??????

The aircon pipe was 300 + vat from nissan 50 from these guys
The Diff was "telephone numbers" from the garage 500 from these guys

Just a thought nissan 1st have a terrano engine 63K for 300...........

May be less than fixing the latest banging noise!!

yeah , but the killer is removal and refit and delivery
 
Delivery is 50 squid removal and refit ??????
Im sure we have the know how!!! didnt the guys offer if you supplied the tea...
Sounds like a good idea to me only prob fir me would be im at the other end of the country..
Got to be an option worth looking at .... even if the garage fits it...
