help terrano2 2.7 td lost power

hi all today i wos out with thw wife and kids and my terrano just lost all power so i pulled over and it cut out i then got it restarted and it had lost all power wos doing 5 to 10mph after a few minits it just took off and the power wos back then after about 3 miles it did it again and now its fine again very strange can any of you give me some advice what to look at then i can take a look tommorow thanks a lot

as solarman says ..... check fuel filter
 
i will do mate i think my best bet is look at that then come back to you all tommorow about it i had just put some fual in as i wos almost out i wos thinking maybe i got some dirt off the bottom of the tank in the system
 
Don't forget the BANJO FILTER :thumbs
That can drain power but the symptoms do sound like the fuel filter :thumbs
 
Possibly if you got it low enouigh you may have sucked up some air :augie

no lights on on the dash mate and i will check the BANJO FILTER thanks guys:thumb2
 
If ya got a nice tool box, a steady hand & a magnet pole, you dont have to move anything to get to it :thumbs
 
id change the normal fuel filter too , make sure it fits tightly , and prime it with the button on top untill it goes hard ( the button lol )

i have all the tools i cud need lol so i shud be good thanks a lot mate ill take it up to the unit and have a look at it ill get my mate to take it up on the trailer
 
does the MK1 have MAF?? if so, id certanly check that!
