Hi guys,
forgive the completely basic question, I tried removing the jack in my t2 today, its obviously never been used from the look of all the fresh grease on it, but I can't for the life of me get the bloody thing out! anyone experienced this? could it have got wedged somehow? or is it something do do with the fact its never been used??

I did think maybe there's a reason its never been used, if nobody's ever been able to get it out!!

All help gratefully received

Matt

hi,matt
try unscrewing it to release it.on mine the jack is held in place by turning the cog by hand a couple of times till the top of the jack touches the top of the hole it lives in to keep it secure.if you cant undo by hand try spinning the jack body round till the insert for the hande is accessable then use the handle.
hope this helps

On later models theres a metal clip that hooks into two holes in the plate the jack stands on, and over the top of the jack head, but same principle applies, screw the jack down as far as you can free it. :thumbs

cheers guys, I managed it in the end!

Turns out some numpty had turned the screw really quite tight and turned it round away from the access panel, hence I couldn't spin it to losen it off and get it out.

anyways, much grunting and swearing later its out!

wheels now swapped to try out my 2nd hand chunky tyres, pics to follow.

Cheers again

matt
