And BigBunny2007 called it first so congrats to him :thumb2

I'm going to raise it with Bat as an idea that we start a "respect" scoring system so that everytime someone solves an issue or posts something that is valued by another member, this will then appear in their profile at the side of their post.

This is good for newbies and other members so they know if the info they are being given is reliable or not, as we all know, post count means nothing these days *cough* Alex *cough* :augie

Glad it's all sorted bud.

The nissanpatrol.com.au forum uses a "thanks" system - ie. you click the thanks button on a post and each profile tells folk how many times you've been thanked and in how many posts. It also says how many times you've thanked someone else.

Will raise this in the forum issues section :thumb2
I don't know the ins and out of the board that we are using but I can certainly raise it

All fixed :thumb2

Got home and decided I wasn't going to let this beat me!!!!

Diesel soaked the fuel cap and fuel filter head which made no difference, then I had a plan :sly

I had a sneaky suspicion that there was def something stuck in my fuel lines so I decided to try a little trick and wasn't even sure if it was going to work or not

I switched round the send and return pipes on the filter and started pumping sending pressure the wrong direction in each pipe, I did this for a few mins and switched back and primed again and voila!!!!!!

3 or 4 little bits of what looked like plastic floated down the tube in my veg  and into the fuel filter, sending the pressure the wrong way seems to have dislodged what was in there!!! I removed the fuel filter again, emptied the contents into a container and out floated the bits of plastic.

Fitted everything back on again and the car now runs like an absolute train again :clap

Thanks for all the help guys, I couldn't have done it without you

Now to get these bloody window boards made and fitted :doh

:clap :clap :clap

I stand by what I said several years ago on here & thats bin the standard fuel filter & primer & in its place put clear in line fuel filters x2 & a inline primer :thumbs

Glass bowl so I can see what's going on, simples

Right

I'm going to resurrect this as there is still something not quite right with the fueling of the truck.

Don't get me wrong it's a lot better than when I had it recovered on the back of the AA truck :lol

It's just still very juddery under acceleration and won't rev round right, it's def fuel starvation as running direct from a Jerry Can is fine so I presume the IP is fine.

The filter primer is always sucked down when the truck is running which indicates there's no leak but certainly not enough fuel which indicates to me that it's a problem backwards from there

Filter is brand new, I may try a new primer head but cant see that making a difference as I disconnected the filter and primer head and linked the feed and return pipe on the bulkhead with a single length of clear pipe and the issues were the same so the problem is further back than that.

This surely only leaves the fuel line and the sender unit at the tank?

Discuss lads it's doing my head in

if ya running on veg it would be a good idea to get some bigger fuel lines
that what i have done on mine and when running on veg i get no problems at all

More like the filter is blocked or the primer is f*cked.

Get a clear filter and primer bulb.

erm,,,,right theres 2 sizes for our fuel lines i used the bigger of the 2 for both return and feed lines

You reckon?

What pipe did you use? You got a link to it? I presume it's just a case of running it from the send and return at the sender in the tank all the way to the front at the bulkhead?

Yes the primer top should stay up not be sucked down, I had similar problem. It would not rev, So hills and overtaking became a huge problem.

Change it, Won't cost you much.
