Hi guys ladys boys an girls, has anyone ever fitted roof bars to a terrano, like the ones that are factory fitted mines a swb 04 , ive found a few for sale, one guy said his ones have to be bolted through the roof which sounded good, but another guy who is also selling a pair said somethink like errr they wouldnt be safe, an no one would take the roof lining out to fit them, the ones he has for sale fit not by bolting but another way which hes going to email me the fitting instructions , both pears run front to back not side to side. Thanks for taking time to read this. Mike

Std ones are fitted with avdel/rivnuts so you just drill hole in roof and install the inserts, though if i was going to fit them i would use nuts and bolts but you would have to prise the headlining down a bit to do that

Is the headlining bonded then ? Was looking at mine today and figured it was fairly easy to do, pull door seals down, pull a, b, c, pillar trims etc and down it comes ?

And pull handles etc

No its not bonded just falls down if you undo all the bits

Things you'll need to remove:

All pillar trim

Roof lights

Visors

Grab handles

3 rivet trim panel button thingys and another 2 just over the rear seats

Then carefully bring it out the rear door. It's very fragile so try not to bent it. It'll crease very easily. I'll upload some pics as I fitted rails to my lwb. Was quite an easy job have patience when measuring and drilling. And use sealant to stop leaking. :thumb2

im after cheap roof bars if anyone know where i can get them from ?
thanks dave
