Hello.

Just joined, so thought i would say hello. Had a T2 about 4 months. Think its fantastic. Only done 30k miles from new on an 03 plate.
Just got a problem with clutch tho, pedal not coming all the way back up. Anybody??

Martin

common fault.................. mine has the same problem, move the spring
if you can that is!!

I had this problem with mine, the clutch would travel up enough to 'bite' but then you could stick your toe under it and 'pop' it up another inch or so.
The spring was replaced but made no difference (about 22p from Nissan!), and you cant adjust the clutch as its self adjusting and will just slip.

In the end up mine had a new clutch pedal assembly fitted (new pedal basically)... under warrenty though so no idea of how much it would have cost (although only took about 2 hours tops)

If it hadnt of been under warrenty I'd have just left it as was.... got used to popping it up with my toe!!! :augie

some break. others rub on steering bar.... but id guess yours is just getting a bit stiff or rubbing.
i found the pedal to be quite flimsey on them

only 3 bolts hold it on take a peek you will se what i mean

almost forgot............ welcome to the club

Hi thanks for all your thoughts, i will look into in now i have a few options on what it can be.

Thanks

Martin

Damn, he'sjust so suave and sophisticated, must think of something clever to say quickly??? Oh bugger it, I'll wait til Blue Peters fnished. Now wheres my plastic washing up bottle and packet of drinking straws....:doh
......

Hi all, thanks, i have found the problem, its the placstic bush that links the pedal and clutch lever together, phone local dealer and hes saying its all part of the pedal at £75.00. Anybody know where these can be bought??

Martin

Thanks that would be great. I might make my own though out of stainless steel on a lathe at work. But would still like a spare.

Hi everybody, thanks for your help. I made a new bush and pin in clutch linkage and my problem is solved. Im very happy. :thumbs
