Just ventured into the realms of Nissan ownership after suffering Freelander foibles for the last 4 years. My new motor's a Terrano 3.0 DVE & I'm looking forward to all that lovely Japanese reliability & design logic! :)

Hello and welcome to the nut house:thumb2. If you pay a tenner you will get full access to all the technical stuff, trust me its worth every penny. Im sure some others will be along to welcome you shortly

P.s any pics of your steed?

Welcome!

I'm not long on here myself, +1 for the paid up membership, very helpful to be able to search etc.

It will all come out if Scotland get their independence, as they will all have to have passports to cross the border with their country of birth on their passport.

:augie

Wow! Many thanks for the warm welcome, folks. I'm just outside Dundee (not far from a few of you, I see) We live on a farm & I do a lot of shooting & fishing so the truck will get a lot of offroad use. Tenner on its way, & I'll post a couple of pics of The Beast :thumb2

Err, not really, Mums English, dad's Scottish, board and bread in Scotland:thumb2

More like "bored" and bred...
Strong in the arm and.... can't remember the rest?:lol:lol

Your nationality depends on where you were born, more than your ancestors.

Your nationality depends on where you were born, more than your ancestors.

Being the new boy I don't want to run the risk of having my head stuck in the bowl, but you actually take your nationality from your father. I was born in Germany as a Forces brat & was forever getting into fights through being called a German when we moved back to the UK (I very seldom won, as it happensm so maybe there was some truth in the accusations after all?) :lol

EDIT:- not quite true, in Britain, it depends where you live and where you are brought up.
There are hundreds of thousands of Scottish people, born in Scotland, but say recently moved to England, will not be allowed to vote in the 2014 referendum.

Equally there are 10's of thousands of English people who have moved to Scotland who can.

So now work out your own nationality?

Really? There you go, I've learned something new already1

Every day's a schoolday :D

:lol Jump in, we all have to have our head in the bowl at some point, so might as well get it over with.

I must admit I thought it was to do with both where you were born and your father, as I thought I read somewhere that on the odd times a baby has been born on a plane, it gets dual nationality, of the country of it's father, and the country where it was born/flying over.

So if you were born in the space shuttle or equivalent, on a mission, does that make you a looney? :nenau
