good day out had by all i think, the thing i missed out on was the banter on the CBs also for infomation passing up and down the line, hope to sort this for the next time out.had a offer of a Midland 12 Channel, would this be any good for offroading.

How much? it needs to be very cheap. £10 - £15 you can get a 40 on Fle-bay for about £20.

It depends, if every one is happy with the channels you have then your fine. today we used 34, you may not have that channel. some SWRed cb's work better on high channels some better on low. if its a really good rig and been looked after then £25 is the top line i would pay. you can get a brand new 80 channels with 12 months ticket for £80. £25 for a rig that is no good in 6 months is a lot of money, so make sure its in A1 condition.

heres a vid of pindale

Don't buy 2nd hand CBs from Ebay, I speak from experience getting crap when I was new into radio! The most expensive radio I have bought was £1200.

A cb will work just as good on all channels.

Midland 12 channel? Sounds Old. Most now are atleast 40channel. I'd get a 80ch one.

I reccomend something like a tti TCB-550 or Maxon CM10, these can be picked up for about £50-60 new.
