Right my blower is having issues namely sometimes it works straight away when ignition is turned on and other times it doesn't. After a short period I hear a click and the blowers work. Does that sound like a dry joint in the relay or just poor connections some where??

Does it work fine on number 4 all the time without a problem. If so then it's more likely to be the resister. See the download section for this.

Makes no difference on 1 or 4 just doesn't work until you hear a click and then its fine.

do not think there is a relay for the blower, but could be wrong, I think this could be ignition switch related, but worth checking the connections to the heater blower, Rayf will know far more than me on this one, Rick

With reference to the ignition switch, the blower works on the first position (Accessory). Don't know if this info helps any.

Ian, it may well do. When the key goes in the blowers will switch on, once the key is moved from position one to ignition sometimes the blowers stop and other times they remain on. Loss conception somewhere in the ignition??? Doesn't explain the clicking noise like a relay.

had a look at mine today under the fuse cover drivers side I have 4 blue relays, left hand three power on Ist position of switch, the 3rd from the left controls the heater fan, try swapping for say the 4th one and see what happens, Rick

Must step in here - My Terrano has developed an intermittent fault. One morning this week whilst driving into work I went to turn on my radio and it was completely dead:eek: then I looked down and saw my cigarette lighter wasn't powering my phone charger any more. Then I found my heater blower was also dead.

Once at work I waited until tea break where I went out to my terrano armed with a multimeter to try and find the fault. Guess what ..... the fault had gone.

I wonder if this fault where the heater stops working is the same fault :nenau

After scratching my head I am wondering if it is a tired relay.

Cheers rick, I shall give it a go. Only reason I think it's one of the relays is because of the clicking noise it makes as it starts up having been off. Interestingly I can have the ignition all the way to position 2 just before start up at it will work. Once the engine starts sometimes it works and other times it doesn't.
