my 2004 terrano sport passengers side has a puddle when it rains, the passengers electric window has stopped working and the heater only has two speeds full blast and nothing. but my biggest gripe is i was the only git who got to work throught the snow, my mates stayed in bed.
can anyone tell where in N.Ireland i can find parts and a mechanic who really knows their way around my bus.
:nenau i wil;l attempt most things on my own if it is not to difficult

puddle in foot well, you got a sun roof? if so check the DRAINS link in download section.

window, could be relay, ( one in the door )

heater repare again in download..

even if you cant do yourself, a download WILL save you hard CASH, as the mechanics will be able to do it a LOT faster!!!

stay in bed, your boss doesnt pay you to run a 4x4 thats your toy not theirs.

passenger puddle i had this yes theres a drain near side front a pillar.

you may need to remove front mud flap, likely find plenty of crud there which
when the water comes down drain route cant escape so backs up and comes
over sill in front of door, under panel where bonnet release is.

some say it comes in the bulkhead and it can but its more likely the first one.

get that flap off, scrap and hose area clean then just fun of drying out carpet
and insulation underneath. i used a vax, took several sessions.

Is there a diagram anywhere that shows the drain points ? I can find the sunroof on in the downloads

I do need to check mine as it does seem to fog up easy in this weather

think that front drain point is on outside on sill after flap. you can poke
a thin screw driver or wire up and think its clear but the crud is still
there. ours was always misting up which i put down to all that trapped
moisture in the carpet. this motor hardly mists and ironically the aircon
clears what does quickly. the t2 couldnt keep up with the clearing and
invariably the rear side windows never cleared.

id try to take that panel off where release lever is you'll likely feel the damp
which is coming in like a capilery? action.

Open the passenger door and look into the gap at the bottom of the wing. If your carefull you can blast the crud out with a hose pipe and whilst your at it do the drivers side. Post again is these answers don't help and I'm sure someone will tell you about the bulk head.

Heater will be the resistor pack, a simple fix and the downloads section is withint quick links at the top right of the pages.

I had a puddle in the passenger foot well, I tracked this down to the seal for the pollen filter which lives under the plastic cover that runs the full length of the window screen. Remove the plastic cover then the pollen filter cover and re seal with silicon sealant.

Dry and no steamy windows.

Hope this helps

Well just fitted my new pollen filter and decided to clean out the front drain points as well.
I hope that they are fully cleared out now, Lots of wet mud & leaves in there which I removed with the help of a screwdriver and then blasted it with the hose pipe, got water draining out of them so fingers crossed should be better.

Is there any more than need to be checked ?

Thanks

Richard

richard, a member mentioned in a previous post, about water running forward via ducting from a leak around the rear door rubber, i have a wet n/s front floor and checked the rear door rubber and found it had come away at the top corner, just another place to check. :thumbs

Check the rear door - mine still leaks and is a bugger to solve.

Re: garages - my T2 broke down on hols last year - took it to a fella in Articlave who done a good job and didnt charge the earth. Cant remember the name but if you ask at the petrol station in the village they all know him.

There is also a 4x4 breaker in Ballymoney not many T2's but he does get them - again cant remember his name but he is in the yellow pages - only does it part time - hes a teacher during the day!

Lee

i have known the sun roof drain pipes to be split where they are fixed at roof level, you need to take the roof lining out, but an easy enough fix:thumbs
