what is involved in removing the heater controls on a 51 plate 2.7 t2. my father in law just got me to buy the control unit because his don't work . it's where the cable clips too has broken . he has tried to fix it but can't . but can you get the unit out without removing the whole dash . thanks for all advice and help

Um i thinkbu can get to the clips from behinde the glovebox.

Just think...

depends on which cable has failed, you cannot get to the heater end on I think it is two, but without looking at the unit in my workshop I cannot remember, Rick

its the one that adjusts the hot and cold and its broke on the control unit

the valve is on the front of the heater against the engine bulkhead, no way to get at that without removing it, but I will look at my unit in the morning to confirm as not sure where the cable terminates, if you cannot wait I posted some pics of the heater not too long ago, so a search should find them, Rick

just re read your post, if it is the control end then should not be a problem, Rick
