Heater control lighting

Hi. Can anyone tell me if there is supposed to be lighting behind the heater controls (Sliders)?on my Y60. Cant see them in the dark at all. If so how do i get at them. Thx.

Don't know about the Patrol but the T2 certainly has, and I should think yours should have too, someone should be along soon who knows, Rick

this is a link to workshop manuals , i have selected the patrol y60 for reference , but other ones are available to download ( free ) , i think they are in zip file format , so you need to convert them with a program called winzip or similar .

I find that virtually all the manuals available are a heap of shxt either in Spanish or pictures unusable or the links dont work. I am really surprised that there does not appear to be a good manual in the download section. I have had LR's, Ssangyongs and Landcruisers for the last 25yrs and never had any trouble finding a good manual through the relevant owners club. Did Nissan ever issue a proper UK manual for the Y60 2.8TD?? I have ordered a Haynes manual from Aus, at least it will be in English and covers the RD28T.

I stripped the dash and there is a single lamp in the centre of the heater control panel. Same bulb as in the sidelights. Just a turn,pull and bulbchange did the trick.
