Ok peoples, I need a new one for a customers car. Who sells em?

Quick look on milner and my local parts shop which has yielded nowt.

it will be Nissan I think, what model is it I have a Mk 1 resistor but you may not want a used one for a customer, I purchased a Mk 2 from Nissan and it was not too bad I thought at around £30 it is the printed circuit type whereas the Mk 1 is coiled wire, Rick

see the workshop downloads, when mine went faulty I was able to solder repair the circuit board break. Cost nil and that was three years ago. regards bri

i was going to say that...

oh well

hi this is what i did

Heater Control card that controls speed
control card can be found in the heater motor, firstly remove the wiring plug-in connecter, there are two cross headed self tappers holding the connecter block in the moter body take these out and out comes the control card, use a very short screwdriver

It is a small circuit board which is locaed in a very hard to get at place underneath and behind the glove compartment. about 30 minutes of fiddling around. The part was about £35

well my new 02 t2 mk4 has this fault

no fan unless on a 4.

quick glance cant see anywhere into dash,

any clues, and is it a part or whole assembly
i'll need.

is it possible to use another dial?

never had this on the old t2 mk2

To be found under the glove compartment.Fiddly to remove.Repaired mine with a dash of solder but available from Nissan only for about £25.

sorry is resistor under glove box,
or are you saying remove glove box
to access switch.

also want to get in there to hard wire
the cb, that is when i decide if its going
up on top of dash or in cubby hole
behind gear sticks...

No look from below the dash in the passenger side. It's a resistor thing your looking for, you will only see the connector. You need to unscrew it.

Looks like that but you only see the connection side. You can find the same on all sorts of nissan cars. I got mine from a scrapyard for £2 from a primera I think

I'd personally get another 2nd hand one, the bit of solder method may work but why did it blow in the first place? It's there for a reason.

I dont think it "blows" I think that it just melts the flimsy printed circuit, my repair is in its fourth year, bri

cheers bri and franz, forgot about the workshops,

so not even in the dash - has assumed was behind
the dial, that make its atleast a bit easier, hopefully

I have fixed mine today and will make an entry on the down loads section for you to see how to fix it...
