hi guys well just back from holidays and no headlight on passenger side and buzzing at columb switch and near the glove box :nenau ?? went to halfords (i know but am female )they put two new matched bulbs in and still no passenger side headlight.
halfords man said take it to nissan as might go on fire:confused: ( really worried now )
So hopefully one of you guys in the know will tell me whats causing the buzzing and what to do about it thanks :clap angela

Not too sure about 2002 model but you should have separate fuses for both headlights I cannot check it out till Mrs returns with the T2, but sometimes when a bulb blows it can take the fuse with it, was the NS bulb blown? Rick

hi yes only buzzes when lights switched on, halfords replaced both bulbs, but only the passenger side had stopped working,,but bulbs had to be a matched pair, :nenau so fitted 2 new bulbs does,nt light up on pass side but works when bulbs switched sides , so not bulb again, so fuses checked and changed :doh,Thats when halfords fitter said " dont drive it love it could go on fire " Brain storm :bow passing halfords customer heard this and said "iv,e a navara could be the relay in footwell " he showed halfords guy where it was.
it was buzzing so replaced the relay but still buzzing and no light near side .
Now really worried that its dangerous  any ideas thanks guys,
has to be fixed soon or horse will go hungry (joke ) angela

Sorry don’t want to sound simple but it’s not simply a lights on buzzer is it?

Think Halfords advice was tosh about balanced bulbs.

Absolute tosh, everyone knows that you don't just change the bulbs, you should also change the wiring loom and battery too.
Regarding the buzz, get yourself to a proper auto electrician who knows what they're doing.

You should get a lights on buzzer when the lights are switched on with no key in the ignition.
Check the plug to the head light bulb as they degrade and go brittle.
Replaced mine last year as i had a problem with the main beam flickering on and off while i had headlights on.
The plug had broke down under the rubber cover and the wires where touching now and then causing it to flick to high beam.

thanks for the replies and suggestions, went to auto electricians "he said bloody halfords are a menace:doh bulbs dont have to be replaced together:thumbs, and the problemb was a bad earth behind the washer bottle and air filter thing :clap
electrician said simple fix " and if i were you id,e complain to halfords re wrong/dubious sales practices and ripping off/ over charging a woman for wrong items."£25.00 to fit the bulbs and fuses and £26.45 for the cost of the bits. All hail to the electrician :bow who charged £25.00 for 15 mins to clean bad earth and fit new earth wire and refit the bits : while i waited clap told car safe now thanks guys, ps horse fed was never realy hungry ps :D

Pleased you're all sorted & happy :thumb2

Take the electricians advice & pursue Halfrauds bad customer service :thumb2
