Recommend me new headlight bulbs, i prefer white rather than blue bulbs.
I was thinking of Osram Nightbreakers, what would you recommend?

Fitted Xenon Extreme bulbs to mine from Halfrauds. They are slightly blue in the centre but give a really good light.

Ive heard philips extreme are far better

Whatcar or autocar or similar did a test and though the Phillips did come out on top there was very little in it and it will vary with headlight type anyway.

I use the Night Breakers in my van, T2 and rally car. For Mac Challenge I had cibie Bi-oscar spots oon the T2 which use H4 bulbs so had them in those too and the combination of 2 pairs of the night breakers was awesome.

i have nightbreakers in my mazda, really good, a lot of money but very bright and far reaching.

H.I.D. kit

i have a H.I.D. kit here that i may actually get around to fitting today.
these are meant to be good, anyone else got them?

Yes, but if you have the headlights with the H4 bulbs, and intend to fit the HID 'hi/lo' type kit -certainly on the mk2 square headlight T2- you can't as the metal deflector within the headlight gets in the way of the bulbs' shutter.

Shop around they are available for vastly different prices £12-£40+ depending where you go.

You have me interested, on ebay they state the "newer" versions are more reliable and give a longer life, does this mean there is a lot of old stock out there, so there may be a difference in price!

Or is it a sales gimic by a few ebayers?

i havent got HiD, but in the Mazda club, a lot of the MX-6's and 626's have them, and by all accounts they are very, VERY good.

halfords zenon bulbs £17.99 each

steer well clear, cheap rubbish sold at quality price, went through 3 sets in quick, very quick, succession, high beam failing just when you need it, now on Tesco cheepo standard H4 and no problem at all.

I have the high brightness ones from Aldi, H4's seem ok so far.

the slightly blue bulbs are illigal and suposed to be an mot failure, but my last 2 cars passed with them in:nenau

im gonna try my H.I.D. kit anyway, worst comes to worst i can always put the standard bulbs back in:thumb2
