Headlight bulbs

Hi All,
Come home tonight and got a headlight bulb out. Question is do I replace with a bog standard bulb or do I go for one that claims to be brighter like Osram Nightbreaker.
What do you all use opinions please.

go for the Osram Nightbreaker plus think u can get they for about £14 with P&P from ebay I have them and the last well and seam brighter:thumbs

Personally, I have always found the so called ultra bright ones fail very quickly, the Halfruads own ones, barely lasted the month, and I took them back 3 times before they refused to replace them again.

The standard ones last forever. I now just use normal ones, but put high powers in the spot lamps.

I've had Osram Nightbreakers in my T2 for 18 months (same pair) and my Honda Jazz for around 12 months, also got them in my spots on the Terrano - I even bought a spare set on the basis of what I'd read on here regarding premature failure, but haven't needed them - I'd go for them every time, excellent bulbs (when I last had the Jazz MOT'd the tester commented on the very white light from the headlights, wanted to know what the bulbs were!)

fitted nightbreakers in my last T2 & after 3 years they were still going:thumb2 picked up some blue tinted upto 50% brighter bulbs from the cash & carry for £4 & have to say I like them as they are brighter but the lights are now white instead of the yellow normal bulbs give off
