I have heard of people been able to cut the sealing compound that holds the glass to the housing. Good chance to give the reflector a polish too. Careful though dont pry it with too much force or the glass will break.

I had a similar problem with my '94 in that the glass came loose. I removed the old adhesive with a flat bladed screwdriver and refitted the glass using non-setting silicone.
That was over two years ago and it's still stuck there firmly (and no water has ever got in).

Depends on if there is any plastic in the light or not, but when I did the rear top lights, I had to put the units in the oven on low for 10mins, to soften the sealant. Made things a lot easier.

If on the other hand there are any plastic bits, forget that...

You can use a heat gun or the Mrs hair drier to heat up the sealant & you can carefully pull the glass off & refit that light shield:augie to refit it just warm it up again & push the glass back in place some tiger seal on the joins wouldn't hurt to keep it in place & keep water out

Clearly the car is feeling neglected, so it's going into self destruct mode.
I don't know about changing the fuel back to diesel but tranquillisers might be more appropriate lol...

What else will fall off... or try to escape to freedom before it goes into the scrapyard in the sky?
