Can't even see what track or cd is in or on the changer or radio station now as the display is gradually disappearing on the lcd .
Is there a repair I can do (Like with a big hammer OR put the radio in the freezer overnight :D)

Or do I find a fellow member who has one in good working order(Maybe fitted an aftermarket one) I could have for some beer tokens.
Standard 6 cd multi changer and head unit as fitted to a 2000 Terrano 2.
Sad Dave :(

You need a stereo that can play SD cards. :thumb2

we've got two of them aldi steros one with built in bluetooth one without both excllent value!

Theres an Aldi right where I work and have often thought about buying one of their CD/Bluetooth/USB stereos, but I can't see how to remove the factory fitted head unit and put an aftermarket one in and keep it tidy looking... also I have radio controls on the steering wheel and I presume they wont work with a new unit?

remove the surround, two scres down by the ash tray,
two up by the vents,

you know you want to

That's gonna make my multi changer useless then if I change the head unit and I like the compactness of it under the drivers seat.I'll have to mess about with the hazard switch too I guess as mine is built into the unit.I have seen one on ebay but fella says that it probably needs a code for it .............??

if you've got a stereo with a usb port and a sd card slot, why do you need a multi changer, i think they will soon be things of the past, just like cd's.
