Fantastic, now will you make me one:lol

I wish I could, but I am one of those people that buys things when they are cheap, "Just in case", and then hordes them in the garage for odd jobs like this. I reckon it only cost me about £15 to make, but if I had to actually pay full price, it would be totally different, and not viable.

The 4 big hinges are aluminium, from a boot fair, £1 for all 4, and I dread to think how much they cost new. The 2 piano hinges are stainless, again, 50p at a boot fair. The aluminium sheet was £8, from the scrap man, and the ally "T" beam was also an off cut, also from the scrap man, left over from when I made the caravan Ferret cage. Then several Rivnuts, rivets, bolts, and thumb screws, again rescued from broken things.

Thought I would jump on the bandwagon with the rear door shelf.
Started it ages ago but never really got into it but seeing everyone else's I decided to have a look at it.
So far I have almost made a new door card out of 1mm medical grade stainless.
Just toying with how to make the shelf as I want the cooker to stay in situ. So far I have come up with this
That's enough for now.

At the moment it's just held on with a couple of self tapping screws but I am going to fit some riv nuts in the holes where the original clips where and use some m6 counter sunk bolts.
Just got to do a bit more shaping of the panel, God that door is a funny shape :lol

:D

I used Rivnuts as well, marking the fixing point back on the panel was fun, I ended up pointing the end of a bit of studding, put it in the rivnut and went round one at a time. I only had to do a few, but I lost count how many times I put the panel on and off.

At least you have the door without the extra cut out on the Off Side... I looked at replacing the whole panel, and then decided against it as there are too many compound curves for my fabricating skills. I also had the interior door release handle to work around as well.

Almost finished the rear door shelf, just got to put some heatshrink sleeving on the chains to stop them rattling.

They all look excellent. You're giving me something to think about.

Also a piece of aluminium for a table and 2 small chains or string wouldn't add a whole bunch of weight to it if all your require is more prep space for food/cooking.
