You want to bang your head together with exosteve :thumb2

He and I spoke about this while he was knocking a curry up in the motor just after we did Hollinsclough the weekend, he also wants a recess for the herbs and spices :naughty

all i want is some where to boil a kettle or javelin a fry up.

on my to do list. along with a quick fit canopy for inclement weather.
my only concern is the weight with having a big spare wheel on.
i will get to work on it.

i could always fit one of those poles on a hinge to support the back door.
the ones that have a ball you press in and various settings for various heights

Actually this is where I will be laughing as I have no spare wheel on my door, its the lightest door, I could afford to put a fair bit of weight on it (or atleast a fat spare) :lol

I'd be tempted to build a swing away wheel carrier. Which you could also mount the hi-lift or waffle boards onto etc

So no weight on the door, then make fold down table flap thing. Also could make some small alcoves in the door for spices & essentials etc

Also a piece of aluminium for a table and 2 small chains or string wouldn't add a whole bunch of weight to it if all your require is more prep space for food/cooking.

been thinking about this for a good while easy enough to do.
dying to get back into my truck but i am determind to finish my outdoor kitchen pergola thing done before anything else.

I got as far as taking the rear door panel off to see if I could leave a small stove on a fold out shelf, then fold it back up into the recess on the door.
Would have to do a bit of cutting and re modelling of the door so I put the trim back on and left it at that :lol

22 quid for landy plate dont sound cheap and its only the shelf itself.
but i am inspired. i just ripped the door card off and binned it:augie
done a load of measurements and work will start shortly.
and i have worked out how im going to to a shelter type thingy:D

total cost for both probably £40 ish.

but it will be made from 1/4" ply not landy plate.
im good with wood.crap with metal.

door will incorparate. spice rack.salt pepper rack. cooker table.utensil holder tea coffee sugar holder.and a couple of cubby holes.

i will make it and keep templates incase anyone can do it in metal.
i can make you one if you want elt?
