Switch on the air con. That will give you idle+100 rpm.

Tick over on the auto is the same as the manual.
It's the gearing that is slightly different.
Mine rolls over most terrain on tickover in low box 1 with the overdrive turned off.
Just feather the throttle as and when I need to.
