Undersealed mine for the first time in it's life a few months back & will get done every year from now on:augie You made the big school boy error BTW Alex you did the chassis before the floor so when you do the floor your going to get totally covered I should know as I did the same:doh TBH i've always been wary of painting prop shafts incase the paint was to knock them out of balance:rolleyes: want to get the suspension painted up on my truck but it's to cold & wet up here at the min:(

Only a thought but how will I get any more covered than doing the job anyway? Surely it will splash down regardless? :nenau

To get at some of the parts of the floor you end up hanging over the rear prob & chassis you you'll scrape off some you have just put on but everyone has their own way of doing it but I choose the cleanest way I can find:lol BTW you look rather clean:augie

Very good, Make sure you do the inside of the chassis too.

Where did you get those invisible axle stands from?:doh:doh:doh
What colour are they?

Alex...

You have already admitted that you have been under the vehicle with only the jack.

Don't tell me you are still doing it!!:doh:doh

I assume if this is the case, you haven't got family or friends that would be devastated if anything happened to you.:nenau

Either that, or you have enough life insurance, however, as the danger has already been mentioned to you on a public forum, then I'm afraid to advise your next of kin, that the insurance will probably not pay out.:confused:
The joys of the internet.

This would then be seen as negligence on your part and insurance companies look for any excuse NOT to pay out. Read the small print!

BUY some axle stands, and don't be tempted to use a pile of bricks, these crumble under point loads.

Timber in the form of sleepers would be good, provided there is no way the pile could topple.

Rant over...
Alex, don't let me have to advise you again.

Take care...

Bless :lol

Alex can't be much different to the age of my son.
He too has been known to do some odd things.:doh
It's just that if I hadn't said... and I could have done something about it...

It's a bit like that wall, that fell on that school girl, I wonder how many people walked passed it and thought that looks dangerous...

Now those people have to live with that, knowing they might have done something about it.

I have mentioned many things, even in one shop, there was a metal bracket sticking out of a shelving unit, exactly the right height to blind a toddler.

I mentioned it once... it was sorted within three minutes.:thumb2

I try not too be too nanny state, But I have to agree. You won't find me under a vehicle without axle stands. A jack could easily fail or be nudged by mistake.

You can get a set of fairly decent (5t?) stands off ebay for about £30-40 delivered.
