Hi lads and lassies,

After much thought and having a great time owning terry for the past year+ and meeting all you great folk on here i have now decided to sell terry the terrano sport 2.7td 7 seater in silver 2 tone with darker grey lower section. i will link some pictures up tonight.

With my company getting very busy and we are doing a lot more landscaping and decorative walling i have decided to buy a transit. i am no longer doing the field walling i was before so i unfortunately now have no need for a 4x4 so the terrano has to go.

2002, Mileage 116000ish, will get exact mileage tonight.

I have done the following over the past 25k miles:
- Full exhaust system
- Front brakes
- 4 x Monroe adventurer shocks
- 4 x yokohama geolander tyres, front two need replaced soon.
- New starter motor
- fuel hose replacement
- serviced every 6k miles with genuine nissan oil, last one 2k ago.
- 3 x new fuel filters
- Abs sensor osf, and new wiring fitted by auto electrician.
- All three drive belts replaced with gates belts.
- diesel leak off pipes replaced
- drop links

It is a great motor and i have been on many road trips in it up to Skye and Inverness and Aberdeen etc, driven 8hours straight once and i was fine getting out.

Obviously now 15 years old so has scratches and tiny dents here and there, interior is in good condition and has sports half leather interior. exterior is in good condition though and will be grand for many years to come.

Mot is due on June the 4th, i can mot if it will help but the cost of it will be added to asking price.

I bought it last January for £2000 from down south and i feel i am asking a very reasonable £1300 cash for a quick sale to a forum member as its just taking up space, based in Edinburgh but can travel if it helps. will be taken off the road on Sunday, test drives welcome.

Thanks again for all of your really great help and banter, i aim to be back once we have a house sorted and i can get a Nissan Patrol for going biking and road trips and most of all going mad off road haha. cheers

Good luck with the sale, but to be honest, I would be selling it with a 12 month MOT and not charging extra for it. The buyer will, or should know, the truck isn't facing unexpected bills in the short term.
In fact if you get to 5th May, you can put it up for MOT a month early, then offer 13 months of MOT.

Not sure what an MOT costs in Scotland, but yesterday had mine done at my local Ford garage, and it was £35
They couldn't even find anything to put down as an advisory lol.:thumb2

Grand, will book it in for its mot tomorrow and let you all know once its passed. cheers rustic.

It will really enhance the sale, we each know how we feel before an MOT, whilst waiting... and when you get that "pass"
Different story :thumb2

Sorry to hear your selling up but your right to evolve as the business evolves just a shame it's the Terrano.
Good luck with the sale mate and happy patrol hunting when the right time comes.

Thanks Thomas,

Yes your right it does suck to have to sell the terrano though as its great fun but not as practical at the moment. I will keep in touch on here and hopefully be back in the not so distant future.

UPDATE: Its booked in for its MOT this weekend so i will let you all know how it goes, i am open to sensible offers also as it wont be getting used. Pictures to follow tomorrow once valeted.

Cheers

It PASSED its mot first time no advisories so really good to go, full years mot and open to offers lads.

So its officially sold to a nice old chap who used to be a mechanic that lives only three streets away so i will see terry cruising around town every so often and he paid full asking price with no haggling which is definately a first when selling a car.

Anyway i just wanted to say thanks to all you lads for your very helpfull knowledge on keeping the car on the road and i hope you all have a great year. the mrs has finally given the go ahead on searching for a house with a garage so once thats done the nissan patrol hunt will begin. cheers

Haha i know was pretty shocked myself haha. I will and i told him all about this site and its helpful knowledge so he should be joining this week.

I like that !

I always look out for my old motors but sadly there is only one I saw with any regularity after I sold it - that was my old Mk 1 Cavalier CDi sadly that was way back in 1990's
