Jumped in the truck this morning and started her up no problem but didn't seem to have much power until it had warmed up a Bit.
I normally start her up and leave it running for 10 mins or so, so this is the first time I have noticed it.
Running on derv and have been for the last 6 weeks or so.
Any ideas :nenau

Mine is always like that when it is very cold, I just put it down to the fact it is a diesel and they take a little bit longer to warm up and get the fuel thin enough.

Like you, I am running on pure diesel at the moment, and if I start from cold it take about 10 mins, but if I use the pre-heater, it is OK from the word go.

I've been giving mine a detox to clear the congealed veggie ect with great results, the power has been slowly increasing, and I think it's pretty much flushed as the smell is gone too :lol

Hi,

Have you checked that the filters have not ended up with a bunch of gunk in them during your detox program?

Both of the T2's i've had have been a bit sluggish for the first 1/2 mile or so when it's been really cold, always put it down to the engine oil being thick due to the cold & the gear boxes have been the a bit stiff to change gear but soon as a bit of heat builds up they were fine:augie

I find the Trol is a little sluggish first thing after a cold night but all the diesel's I've had have been the same :nenau

Adding to what Sweety said about the engine oil, having the oil pressure gauge I know that it takes a bit longer for the oil to warm up and allow the pressure to drop.

Only noticed because I pretty much started up,scraped off the frost and drove away as I was In a rush.
Normally I give it ten mins or so to warm up.
