Has anybody tried the GUNSONS EEZI-BLEED pressurised brake bleeder on the Mavericks, my resevoir is a Lucas type with a 1/4 turn fitting on a 3 point engagement approx 49 mm across. (I guess I could make an adapter)
I am concerned from previous threads that pressing the brake pedal down to the floor in the old fashioned way can damage the seals in the master, and in true tradition you wish you had left it alone.....
I will also use it on other vehicles.
best regards, Rustic

when you start bleeding it dont press it all the way down on the first press
build up to it gradualy and piston should not stick in cyl

Hi
I tried to modify the GUNSONS EEZI-BLEED to fit the Lucas reservoir but was unable to get it to seal so gave up. If you do as ssteve said and don't press the pedal all the way down you should be alright or you could just gravity bleed them but this will take a lot longer

I used the Eezi-bleed on my 1990 Patrol. One of the caps fitted OK and it worked well. In the instructions provided they say that ,if the caps provided do not fit, then to contact them and they mayhave others that they can supply.

Thanks guys for all your advice, I received the Gunsons EEZI bleed this morning in the post, yet another ebay purchase, it fits both my daughters' Fiesta and Wifes' Picasso, and as expected not the Mav.

In the instructions it says you can drill a 3/8" hole (10mm) in existing lid and fit their pipe, and when complete fit a blank grommit in the new hole.
Sounds ok to me... but I'll get the grommit first and then check if it can seal before drilling the hole.
If I go back to the old fashioned method of brake bleeding I will make sure the pedal ONLY goes half way down, it may involve putting a brick under the pedal...

YES I will remember to take it out before I test drive it...   ( I hope )
