I might be interested of one LOKKA for my year 2000 LWB 2.7tdic. But how much would the LOKKA cost if I would join your group buy? I would need shipping to Finland.

Excellent write up Rick :clap.
I fitted a Lockright to the rear axle on my Blitz around 10 years ago, I came across same problem with the shims main dealer was unable to help but I managed to get thinner shims from local agricultural dealer & got some extra ones while I was there.
The shims I got would probably be smaller in dia but local ag dealers probably worth a shout for any one looking for some.

do fixed hubs need swapping to manuals?

you would not have to use manuals as the Lokka would ratchet on corners, but depends on how much you need 4 wheel, if it is rarely then yes use manuals, if once or more a week then stick with the fixed, just a rough estimation, Rick

Wouldn't the lokka still ratchet with fixed hubs even when not in 4x4?

yes it would, that is why I said depends how often you need 4 wheel, you do not want to be forever getting out and switching the hubs on and off, Rick

It is a pain :doh but automatics aren't reliable enough!!!!

Since I've owned my Maverick and Terrano I've been through 4 pairs of automatics :doh

sounds like a good cheap buy if it comes off, that's all good.. never had a manual type locker such as LOKKA ... I cant help but love ARB type air lockers, damn expensive though.. There was an independant test done on the Chinese copies of the ARB and they came out at only 5% weaker but half the price, I knew a guy that imported them into nz a palet load at a time, got them really cheap and because nz doesn't produce its own car parts no import tax.. cant get them cheap here...He was selling them at 800 nzdollars around £400 with compressor and wiring kit for fronts of patrols which I believe is terrano rears, or it is on the D21 terrano.
just some useless information I suppose:nenau

They aren't ready yet, I'll be first to know when they are too :sly

Where you at Mr Banshee?

Including myself I've got about 8 people interested, reading back on your thread I have also hit the same issues re older models, I sent a hopefully convincing email today asking for a one off bulk buy hopefully honouring the same price for different lokkas :augie for the old skool bunch...

Lokka did mention that VAT will need to be paid also :thumb2 so 165+ the dreaded 20%

I don't imagine it makes a difference but perhaps we group together nearer the time, about 3/4 weeks off as you probably already know :)

Hopefully my email may work some magic, not for my motor but for the other members desperate for a Christmas bargain, let's face it, they're not exactly flying off the shelves... Prob been gathering dust for 12 years :lol some money for lokka is better than none :augie

I've sent the same e-mail last night mate stating that there seems to be a lot more interest in the older applications.

Yeah they aren't cheap when all is said and done bro!!!! I've had to slap £25 import duty on the total of Rob's for his Patrol too :doh They held it at Stanstead for a week until I agreed to pay

Did you hear anything back yet dude? I can get a response from JD but usually involved me hassling him :lol

Surprised hes not more interested given the amount of figures we are talking.

either way I defo want a new Lokka same as yours, no ifs, no buts, 100% money is saved aside.
