Danbury Ford
Normally sits at about a foot and a half all year round
In the wet it average's 2 1/2 foot
If the Chelmer burst's it bank's or accessive rain it has gone over 6 foot

A picy of a sign :lol or 2 :augie

& the lane's, nothing special but it's not tarmac

The lanes were in "Cooksmill Green" near "Ongar" & "un-named road" at "Purleigh Round Bush"

"Violets Lane" in "Furneux Pelham" near "Stansted Airport" the uk's longest ford.
Plus theres a few extreme green lanes around there with plenty of mud.

we went to violets lane today strangely enough!!!!
3/4 of a mile ford!!!
dry as a bone!!!!
apart from some muddy puddle ruts oh and a 05 plated toyota yaris that followed his sat nav and got stuck!!!:thumbs

Hello!

The ford at Danbury/Little Baddow at the top of this thread is at 4 feet deep. Went there tonight, but bottled it, and didn't take the Troll through, as have no snorkel.

If anyone decides to go, let me know.

Don't want to worry you about Danbury Ford but we did a lot of tree work there and generally around the Hurrells Lane/ Hammonds Road area this year and the place is absolutely crawling with gay doggers Some dirty get had even crimped off something mahoosive in the little carpark next to the ford and left it there. We couldn't wait to get away from there, but i did manage to chuck a load of water over a few of them when I took the 110 pick up through at a reasonable rate of knots :naughty
