Well I've gone and done it today, getting my self a new ride. Trading the 05 plate in for a Skoda Roomster 1.2 diesel Greenline. Huge inside, £20 road tax and loads n loads to the gallon. Picking it up middle of next week with a bit of luck. Tinged with sadness at getting rid of the 05 plate but I'll be saving between £150 & £200 a month in diesel.

Urm.... No pictures?!

:naughty

Buds right, put a blind fold on and don't take it off until you're in the driving seat. An aquired taste i think would be a good description.

Just for you Alex I'll post a pic when I've got it.

Aint this the one that Clarkson from top gear show cased a while back?

Clarkson tested (and praised) the Skoda Yeti. Roomster is funky looking on the outside, but very nice on the inside, in a utilitarian way.
Had a Skoda Superb 1.9tdi for years, if ever I have to buy a long distance cruiser it would be that one again.
Or, for sportiness, a Seat Leon FR ;)

Hopefully it turns out to be a great motor for you mate:thumb2 as sad as it is the 05 plate is going you still have your old girl which has served you well over the years i've known you & i'm sure it'll continue to serve you well for years to come

To be honest after sleeping on it over night I hope im not making a mistake. Running costs it is a win win im sure just daft doubts I think.

Not had time to name it yet Pete, have been on a course all day today. Away at York all day tomorrow. It'll get a baptism of fire because I'm off down to Cambridge next weekend.

good luck darn sarf jim ..... ive been investigating tv interference when im using high power on 2m :doh

Bet that was fun Pete, not been on 2m for months and months.

Will have to see where I can mount the remote head for my radio.
