Goodyear Wrangler AT Tyres?

Any one got an opinion on the above tyres, good or bad.

I finally have worn out my road bias tyres that came on the truck when I bought it 34k ago and its time for a better all round tyre that wont aquaplane in the wet or spin when it sees some grass

Been looking for a All Terrain tyre and have been offered these Goodyear Wrangler ATs at £68 a corner all in, fitted etc, which I don’t think is bad?

I don't know what they are like sorry but i'm running on Falken & they are even cheaper :smile: done about 25K on then & they are'nt down 1/2 way yet & grip like mad on & off road TBH if I could get them in 31" I'd be fitting they again as i've been so impreased with them.

my road tyres are runway enduro a/ts... i have to say , i love em, did really well in clay and peat off road. great on rocks gravel hill climbs

and best of all they are great on the road

Have got wranglers on my terrano ,really like them,good in all conditions,quiet at speed.Wear well and stable with van on back.

Ive heard that they are a good make but not cheap. I considered the Goodyear wrangler muds earlier this year but at around £180 a corner I opted for the BFG muds.
The main man at www.specialist-leisure.co.uk would give you good advice about yank tyres.

m8 would only recommend the general grabber AT2 Had them on the T2 done 60k till loads of tread when sold
New on the Patrol at 5k now reading 16k don't even look warn....
Best thing Great road holding trust me my machine gets some stick and simply brilliant of road
drove all over Salisbury plain with out getting stuck recently, with no noticeable difference in fuel economy

I'm with Davemud.

Got nothing to do with the fact I'm selling a set in the classifieds.!!

Realy was impressed with them, bought a Kia Sorento which I put them on nut didn't like the Kia after having a Discovery II 4.0 V8 so sold that after only 6 weeks and bought a Discovery II TD5, Put the General Grabber AT2's on that before I sold it I put the original wheels and tyres back on.

Must say in both vehicles they were great both on and off road.

If I find a set of 16" Terrano rims cheap somewhere before I sell them then they will be going on my T2.

good year wrangler

had a set on my latest t2 before i fitted the kuhmo m/t tyres.never went off road with them on but they handled fine on road.had been on for 18 months before i changed them and still loads of tread left.

Thanks for the input everyone, you cant beat asking people that have been there and done that.

I will have a shop around locally for prices on your other recommendations and see what I can come up with.

I fully intended to fit BFGs this time around but cannot justify spending £93 a tyre as things stand now.

I've had a set of Falkens on for just over 1000 miles. No problems at all.

When I was doing my research before buying, the Wranglers were recomended by various people (users not sellers)to me but not as low as £68 a corner, I could be tempted at that price.

I paid £250 for the Falkens and and my towbar wiring in , happy as :smile:

Yep, I've had General Grabber AT2 on my Patrol for about 5K miles now. They are not noticeably noisier on tarmac and are brilliant offroad. 265/70 R17 cost me £106 apiece - but they'll be a bit cheaper in your size. Worth a look, I think.

Just an update on this thread,

Have finally got around to having new tyres fitted went for the Goodyear WRANGLER AT-R tyres, 235/75 15.
Look a good tyre and so far are living up to my expectations, even had them fitted in time for the snow. The best part is now when driving through standing water on the road, the water is no longer thrown up all over the windscreen, as it did with the old tyres leaving me blind until the wipers cleared it.:clap

Had them on t2 when i got it,impressed in dry and wet.Quiet at speed and stable towing van.Good wear rate .:thumbs

Hi toolbox, i have got them on my Patrol and like Dinky said they are good in the wet and off road. I have done about 25'000 on them and they still have 6 or 7 mm left on them. I paid £85 each and i thought that was cheap, some places wanted £125 each for them so you have got a good deal. BigG
