have not put the floor plate down yet as want to check cables etc during operation, and the straps are holding the slack on the main chains as I had to manually lift each side and lock them, this ensures that when I apply power the slack will not bunch and possibly jam at the bottom of the rams, Rick

Glad you have managed to get it installed ok:thumb2 one of the garages I used to work at we had to move all of the ramps from the old building to the new one no easy job due to their weight:doh

I Do hope you got some big lumps of concrete under those holding down bolts:eek:
but nice piece of kit:thumb2

All installed and ready to go, would have used it today but got no oil, and it is proving hard to source it is Mobile EAL 32 an environmentally friendly oil, apart from the fact this is the specified oil in the manual I have a stream nearby and thought it better to stick with this oil as it is none polluting if I did get a leak, apparently it breaks down without causing any damage to a waterway, but I have not seen a price yet and only found one possible supplier "Gannon Oils" so phone call in the morning, here are the pics,

PM sent Rick

to save you clicking on the link mate ...... its £140 for 20 litres

the three at the back of each post go into the footing for the wall and judging from the way it drilled it is a good mix so no problem there, the fronts are into the oversite which is only around 100mm thick but more than good enough as the footing and oversite was poured in one go, Rick

Point well made there :thumb2

When are you planning to order this oil Rick?

tomorrow, in fact there is a Co in Rye not far away that may just have it, if they do then I will be collecting am, if not then will try local motor factors for next day, again if not will order by post, just cannot have this thing here all set up and be unable to use it for lack of a bit of oil, Rick

Don't know if it helps any Rick but Castrol used to supply & do the oil changes on the ramps at one of the garages I used to work at if you get stuck they might be able to supply you some

Castrol do not list EAL 32 oil seems virtually Mobile are the only producers, it is biodegradable, that is what makes it special, and according to the German agency is the only one that can be discharged into a water course without any problem, Rick

so it makes it safe to use on all out door/forestry hydraulic machines as is safe and non polluting, it is biodegradable, Rick

That's crazy, I cant get my head round that, I thought oil was oil (to a degree)

Well all is not well got oil today effing expensive, but filled it and great, working fine, so the test, put my work T2 on it (full of kit) whoops too far forward, back up a bit now good lift no problem and all on a 13 amp plug, effortless, the motor did not notice the load, but on second lift it was one sided a little, odd I thought as cables are supposed to stop this then I noticed the NS post was deff not upright, so lowered it to the ground and had a look, seems the wall footings are good but the oversite at this point is on nothing as it has sunk by a few mm, so now need to do some serious concreting, pic shows motor def leaning left and post not as it should be, Rick

Ouch..... So time to dig out a big hole and re-fill with lots of sand and cement.

Either that, or time for some hawsers from the top of the posts, out the windows and into anchor points in the ground outside the garage. :naughty

big hole and fill with top grade concrete with lots reo bars as well, I did have my suspicions on starting but when it proved a good drill thought it would be OK but not so, should have known, typical farmers crap construction, Rick
