Yep had a good day as title, got delivered, my new two post car lift, and 5 tyres for my off road motor, finished my current job and looking for some "me" time that I have not had for months, so hoist fitting first then off roader to be sorted, ready for the 9th then fit new kitchen for the good lady, pics of hoist and tyres tomorrow, Rick

Car lift you say mmmm porn pics to follow you say , bloody tease :lol

Very nice:thumb2 BTW Rick how many spare rooms do you have ? as I think there will be a few wanting to move into your house very soon:lol

I'm gonna have a nose tomorrow :naughty

Gotta see is lift :naughty

I would love a 2 or 4 post lift, but it would not fit in my garage...to low.
It just beats laying on your back, under a vehicle on a trolley jack (with axle stands Rustic) getting covered in muck, welds or goo.
Good on you Rick :thumb2

Nice buy Rick, guess you're going to have a lot of friend's visit lol.

Why don't you hear about garages with pits these days, roof height isn't a problem with them.

2 things,

Fumes.... Nanny state means there is to high a chance of gasses settling in the pit, and then igniting... One person I knew could not get a mortgage on a house unless he agreed to fill in the pit in the garage.

The other is a lot of pits were dug without checking the foundations of the house, and again, they would invalidate your insurance should you suffer subsidence.

We used to have one in the fire station, lovely long pit, ideal for working on your cars, just had to pull the appliance out of the way, this year it was filled in and a new kit room was built over part of it :doh:doh

As promised, pics first of of my tyres

and the lift, this was as far as I could get on my own, but some beefy scaffolders came down today so got them to stand the columns up, so now the left one is fitted and the right has only to have 4 more bolt holes drilled and be leveled, more pics tomorrow, Rick

Had no choice mate, at 67 cannot do the contortionist stuff anymore, I cannot wait to get this installed and running probably tomorrow (sunday if I can get the oil for it) manual is in the workshop but think it said something like G35 anyway sort that later, as for pits you can keep them, Rick

I saw the lift, it's real beefy, looks awesome, Rick was explaining the mechanics behind it, it's a clever unit :thumb2

:thumbs

are the tyres off a ferguson tractor rick :thumbs

they are 750 16 so probably designed for a dumper, they are however 8 ply rating and as they stand are on rims that are too wide for them, they will be refitted to my 16 inch off road rims initially to the rear only and the existing rears will go on the fronts as the current ones are worn out, and see how they perform, Rick

ok rick diden't no the size mate :thumbs

All installed and ready to go, would have used it today but got no oil, and it is proving hard to source it is Mobile EAL 32 an environmentally friendly oil, apart from the fact this is the specified oil in the manual I have a stream nearby and thought it better to stick with this oil as it is none polluting if I did get a leak, apparently it breaks down without causing any damage to a waterway, but I have not seen a price yet and only found one possible supplier "Gannon Oils" so phone call in the morning, here are the pics,
