I am going to replace a few bits on my 2.7 1995 Terrano and would like some advice on the best places to buy the following :

Front and rear anti rollbar droplinks

Steering idler arm

Front shocks (nothing special)

Just ebay them or any preferred suppliers ?

Ok very handy. :thumb2
There's mixed reviews about milners so you'd be best to phone them and confirm what you've seen / ordered online is actually what you'll be receiving.
I have used my local motor factor for everything for my standard 04 plate terrano since I've owned it and it's been fine. They are called L&R Motor Parts
http://www.landrmotorparts.co.uk/
Not sure if they post though but I can help there if needed:thumb2

Not sure who or where i would try if i start modding though.

Surely stuff will be cheaper in Spain, no?
Where in Spain are you?

Parts in Spain (and 2nd hand cars) are ridiculously expensive. I know people in motor factors here who have been to the UK and could not believe how much cheaper the UK is. I can buy 4 spark plugs in the UK for the price of one here. Same story for most common parts. Did a clutch on my Escort a few years back. Parts here €200. Cost in UK was about £65 + £25 for DHL....

So unless it's an emergency I buy all my bits in the UK and bring them over and either fit myself or give to the garage to do.

Vivo circa Valencia :) Yes I do speak Spanish (my grammar is crap).... you have no choice as it is real Spain round here. Lush !

Vale! No lo sabia.
I knew that second hand cars were a fortune but I never looked at parts, garage told me what I needed and how much to pay and that was it...

Jejejeje.... me cago en la leche !!!!!

Ouch...... !! I sussed it fairly quickly, fortunately. My (spanish) mechanic mate did a few emergency repairs on the Escort two weeks back and profusely apologised for the parts prices (and they were trade.....) He knows how bad it is. But I had no option as it had to be fixed PDQ.

What's your Spanish connection ? We've lived here 9 years but have small business in the UK.... I do IT so we are able to live here and run things there. Awesome !!!!

Vivia en madrid durante 11 años.
It's a country I adore and I'm one lottery win away from returning. :) Current job makes packing the truck and leaving a bit difficult.
That's a nice way of doing things, or at least it was when the pound/Euro rate was favourable. Brexit will knacker that though.
I did my best to stay away from the guiris and enjoy the real Spain
I've been back for 5 years and miss it, I was in Spain 11 and didn't miss the UK once. :lol

I'm very happy with Milner's, posting to Belgium.

Mind you, postage is rather expensive, so you better make sure you have everything :).

Sorry.... thanks for replies. Out & about today. Will respond properly tomorriw.

Had to pop to Alicante for the day.

Yup.... I get all that. Brexit is a killer.... but won't get into the politics here. We'll have done 10 years next year so can apply for a Spanish passport.... problem solved (apart from being paid in GBP which is a killer right now)

Happy as here. No desire to go back at all.

Currently in Mallorca for a week at family flat for a break (been all over the show the last couple of weeks). Nice, but too British for me :)

Staying in the EU for the Free Market is supposed to be better for trade. Doesn't look like it works that way for for the Spanish.

To be honest I can't see these huge prices in Spain. The second hand market on the surface is more expensive, the Spanish have an odd way of pricing things. Give it a high price and hope a mug comes along, eventually one does.
As a quick example of Terrano clutches we have Spain at 159,68 €IVA incl versus UK at £138.42 with the low pound that's not a huge difference. Even a rate of 1.6 wouldn't make buying from the UK feasible.
EDIT:
Glow plugs. 20,35 €IVA incl. (free postage) versus £19.60 plus £4.25 shipping.
As for using it to bash the EU is ridiculous.
