A mate of mine as a 2.7 TD, today while driving home went from first to second and lost all drive, it will free wheel go into all the gears but will not drive
Any ideas?

Not cought your other gear lever?
I was going to suggest that.

Try shifting the 4 wheel drive knob, it may have gone into neutral.

Failing that, the rear prop shaft could be turning, but not the wheels, could be a broken half shaft in the rear diff.

As a get you home, you could engage 4 wheel drive which will give you drive to the front wheels.

Either way a solution lies with the other gear knob.
Worth a try.

He had a look when he got it home, jacked it up and both rear wheels turn when he turns one, moved the small gear stick through the high, low etc and still the same, the chutch pedal is ok and is moving the arm to the clutch, this one as lost me.. :nenau

Mmm sounds like you have sheared your clutch centre plate, Rick

With the rear jacked up and in 4 wheel does the front prop turn, or if the hubs are working does it lock up, if so this proves the transfer box, if front prop does not turn ( good bet to hold it in case hubs no good and it is oil drag) then transfer box goofed, Rick
