Stick one end on the wire that goes to the glow plugs and the other end to earth. Switch on and there should be light :thumbs

yep, light works, then off, after few second comes back on... ect..

will get battery looked at next week, still under garrenttee
 
Hmmm, not sure it should do that :nenau I think it should come on for a few seconds and then go out and stay out. So it could be the timer part of the solenoid is iffy. Get another from the scrappy and try again:thumb2
There maybe some electrickery expert along later who knows more. i assume you had good contact on the wire and bulb arrangement:augie
