looks like i have this problem on me auto tdi. refuses to start in mornings .

easy fix ?
any other problems like relays or anything it could be

im pretty sure its glow plugs . been getting progressively worse over time

once fired up its still awesome

Worth sticking a multimeter or a bulb earth to one of the glow plug wires just to be sure that the relay is not stuffed even if you can hear it clicking the contacts can be burnt out, bright bulb before starting or 11volts = relay OK one or more glowplugs gone, no light or voltage = relay, Rick

Hi Colin, when mine went tits up I found the connections to the solenoid had dissintegrated:augie
New connections did the trick:thumbs

well after ten years and 180,000 miles or more and them never being touched, I'd not be surprised.....

Does it help if you leave things a bit longer after the light has gone out?
