I am being brave and thinking about doing a engine oil/filters change.

Now Nissan can supply....

Engine oil
Sump plug washer
Oil filter
Fuel filter
Pollen filter

... for £51.25 + vat

Does that sound about right or would I be better to get pattern parts?

lol if kwik fit use them I won't :lol
Nissan price seems remarkable :D

If there is not a lot between genuine and pattern, then I'll go with genuine. I had this with my Toyota Hilux Surf, service and some parts were as cheap or cheaper that pattern parts.

Use genuine oil filter all the time, my 2.7 was exactly the same as yours, colour too. There are 2 different sizes of oil filter for the 2001 model....SO I was told by Eurocarparts after they let me have the wrong size first :nenau

Think that might be the case as the one I got for mine the body of the filter was a bit bigger than the one I took off but the O ring was the same size as was the holes in the filter it was a bit tight getting it in place but no leaks prob going the be fun to get off & out tho next time I change the filter:doh

Be thankful you don't have a 4.2d Troll:augie
it has two Oil filters, big ones, and at 9L+ of oil:eek:

For that price mate get the nissan parts :thumbs good deal I reckons

Well that didn't last long. I replied asking if that price includes everything that I had asked to be priced up. And then what the cost would be for them to do the jobs :augie

"Hi Steve,

Unfortunately not! The £51.25+vat excludes the oil. Please read the e-mail sent afterwards with the new total including a 5ltr oil. Should you require more than 5ltrs this will be an additional cost.

We do not offer labour prices via Glyn Hopkin Online Shop. Please contact your local Glyn Hopkin Service Department for further assistance.
"

WTF do they mean IF you require more that 5ltrs of oil?????????

Better look elsewhere for my parts then :doh
