I was thinking, someone with some experience on here could find (or knows) a good gentle pay n play site we could all meet up with our veggie oil splurging 4x4

I'd love to meet up with some peeps and get a bit of mud up the doors.

Early days yet but might anyone be up for it :nenau

only go pay and play if you want to break something :lol

I sometimes go to K.O.R.C(Kirton Lindsey) But that would most likely be too far for you to travel.

I did say gentle, or if anyone knows some gentle lanes, we could get together :nenau

If you don't mind travelling a bit, the P&P sites down near Chichester, Slindon and Boxgrove are nice sites.

You have the option to take it nice and easy, to get to know the car, and then if you want you progress you can push things a bit further. If you want to go really mad, you can try and follow Rick on the Diff killing, door bending, mirror removing sections, but you do need a winch for most of those bits. I think they are nice places to get the feel of the cars capabilities.

There is also a mild site at what was the Whitbred Hop farm, in Paddock wood, not done it myself, but read some reviews about it. Only down side is it's small apparently.

Now that sounds good, i like getting muddy but i dont want to remove mirrors or kill diffs :lol

Maybe if we could get a few of us together for several months away. Make a real day of it.

Would be fun... We have had too many personal commitments for the last little while, so not been able to get down there for a few months...

Our car is our daily drive as well, so when it is as muddy as it will be at this time of year, we tend not to bother, the mud is a very sticky clay, and gets everywhere, but once it dries out just a little, you have the options of either hitting the deep mud, or going a bit higher, and just testing the grip. As long as Rick is there, at least you know you have a capable "real" off roader who can pull us out..:lol

Why is that? I have heard of Devils Pit, but not sure where it is...

Down this end of the country, you will be hard pressed to find many places that aren't clay. There used to be a great site at Shoreham, which was chalk, but it's not there now.

first time I went to Slindon was with my works road going motor, no problems went most places bar winch sections, but had not realised Slindon water holes are full of mud and my rad became part blocked by it, only some months later did it rear it's ugly head and motor overheated and bang new engine needed, Rick

Any one on here is most welcome to join me for a day out, there are 3 meets a month locally, 1st sunday, 2nd sunday and 4th sunday, just pm me what you want to do, you will not regret it, a really good day, Rick
