Gearbox trouble?

Hi All,

Wondering if anyone could help? Got a Mistral 2.7 TD auto. 1995 and every now and then the gearbox freezes and won't change gear. The only way i have found to get it running correctly again is to pull over turn off engine and start again.

Does anyone have any idea what could cause this and is it easy to fix?

try changing gearbox oil first ,and change filter/clean strainer (if fitted)

Hi ssteve,

I did change gearbox oil about eight months ago. Could it really need changing so soon?

I'll drain a bit out ay the weekend to see what state it is.
