gearbox needed

hi everyone, after replacing half the front suspension and 3acres worth of steel welding for the mot the bloody clutch went:doh then i found the release arm had been bodged and needed replacing. so all back together and my gearbox is grinding like a good un. its not been my month is anyone selling a 2.7td box or know where i can get one? thanks guys, vince

I know of one going for £250 , if that's cheap :nenau , but I know nuffin of its history ... all I know is its a manual gearbox from a t2 tdi

Tdi box won't fit td i have td box if required

i wasnt sure if they where the same or not, how much am i looking at with postage to hull? sadly i dont think mines any good for a refurb :-(

whats the difference between the 2.7td and tdi model gearboxes then? iv just been looking on line and there are a couple listed as fitting both and the 2.4 petrol version too, thanks vince

I do not know if the petrol box will physically fit but petrol and diesel ratios are different, also depending on IP model some TDi have the CKP sensor on the top of the belhousing others have it on the timing cover, Rick
