Gearbox has to come out

Hi all its me again,neary got the gear box out not as bad as i thought,
thanks to the tips like taking wheel off to get to the starter motor.
dont use a rachet spanner, it gets stuck as the bolt comes out.
the torsion bar set up it like the old morris 1000 did the japs nick the idea?
just in thing left to bother me there are two rubber pipes that goies to the top of the box front and rearthen linked to a pipe that runs along the chassis
are they breathers? do i just undo the clips nothing going to come out?

Yes they are breathers, cover them up to stop crap getting in, Rick
