winch as it looks now

Well before I stick it on Ebay, any comments please, this is how it looks now after a knotted wire brush in a disc cutter and a coat of paint, what do you think I should reserve it at, I am not much of a seller, only ever tried to sell a couple of things on Ebay and so not much experience, Rick

Looks good, angles are good too. Bung it up and set a reserve :thumb2

Rick, list any defects. Put plenty of pictures on, some weekends you get free listings.
I always find an item the same as what I want to sell and press the "sell it yourself" button, saves you trying locate all the details

Looking great Rick :thumb2

Like Firebobby says be completely honest about it, plenty of pics and use the "sell it yourself" function for ease, you'll be good :)

Wow had a decent offer for my winch already even though it seems it is missing a "top arm" or "A" frame, barrbeast would you know what that looks like cos it may well be kicking around but I do not know what I am looking for, Rick

You could have made quite a costly mistake getting rid of it by the looks of things Rick!!!!

Well done mate :thumb2

Hope you get a cracking price for it

Banshee, I do not know if I ever had it, and yes if I did it is quite possible it was cannibalised for something else, Peasgood1 thanks for the pick but do not think this is it, I am given to understand it is something more akin to the pick below, Rick

Sorry Rick, not too sure what the a-frame for your winch would look like as a normal tractor a-frame is a bit different to the thing you're describing and isn't specific to rear winches :nenau

I did find a listing for an early Ferguson one though that sold last year

... and these pics of one of the early Ferguson ones in situ...

By the way Peasgood1, what tractor do you have?

Love my old girl, never let me down yet :thumb2 I was lucky to get such a good one, maybe one day I'll get her fully restored!

Thanks for the pics, unfortunately I cannot see the "A" frame clearly, but it does look different to my illustration, I have located a copy of the owners operating instructions but cannot access it till Tuesday, hopefully I will be a little wiser then, on the good side I have had an offer of more than I expected and with the knowledge that the A frame is missing, so will wait and see when the auction ends, question for Ebayers, I have had many questions asked on Ebay re this listing and have answered them via Ebay but my listing still says no questions? so to stop having to answer the same question time and again what do I need to do to to get them shown? I am amassed at the interest in this item, Rick

When you are replying to a question, there is a check box at the bottom, just under the reply box, which gives you the option to display the question and answer on the listing... I don't think you can do it to ones you have already replied to though.

When you are responding to the questions there is usually a "show on ad" or show all button, something like that.
