Hi

Does anyone know a good garage in the North London/Herts area with experience of fixing Patrols? My offside front axle seal has gone and I think the swivel bearings need doing too. It is an 04 Y61.

Once done I hope to get it out on the lanes.

I just done the swivel bearings and seals on my fourtrak was an unexpecidly easy job prob same set up on your patrol by sounds of it.Remove brake caliper and the top and bottom pins then the whole hub with driveshaft come out.Change the seals and bearings and put it back about an hours work

I don't have the time, or a repair manual, at the moment but may be able to do it in a month or so. i am still driving the car as I believe the front axle only rotates in 4WD or if the hubs are locked. The oil leak is not severe but I don't want the hub grease washed out!

Thanks. Downloaded it. Still would like to find a good garage used to working on Patrols in the Potters Bar area.
