Have seen these on youtube they work but are not very well built(Chinese) they come in very flimsy packaging so be prepared to do some re soldering when you get it

Induction heating is a method of heating or melting metal by induction, bit like applying power to an AC motor but not letting it turn, it will melt, crude description but effective, now that little unit may just melt a blob of solder, Rick

In the video it got a nail red hot, another YouTube video showed one making a fairly large nut almost white hot

I will post updates after I get it, could be a couple of weeks perhaps 4, coming from China

hot or what.jpg

Took about 20-30 secs
That is a 10mm bolt 36mm long

I was not expecting that for the money:clap:clap

The induction coils did not get too hot
The wire I used was a piece of 5A flex twisted around screws in the battery posts, did not even get warm

I will see if I can measure the current flow some time, but the spark as I disconnected was not that great.

That actually looks pretty impressive.

Hmm. Quite impressive :thumb2 :thumb2

I have an Induction hob & the very little amount of time it takes to boil water is quite amazing.
If you only put the pan on half way across the ring, the only part of the ring that gets hot is were the pan is sitting.
