Is it an after market alarm or a nissan jobby? Can you get to the siren to pull the plug on it until you get it sorted?

Jim

its the nissan system but the lights flash with it.. it ok for now as i cant turn it back on:lol

Sure I have seen it somewhere that you need to program the fobs if the batteries are left out for more than a few mins, cant remember where though, Clivvy or Briggie should be able to help, Rick

you probably have to reprogram the system .... do you have the master fob or the red fob ?

OK found it, Step 1, make sure all windows and doors are closed, not locked. Step 2, insert ignition key and turn from OFF to ON (not cranking) 6 times within 10 seconds you should end in the off position, the hazard warning lights will flash twice to indicate you are in programming mode. Step 3, Remove the ignition key, and Press and hold the UNLOCK button, while still holding press the LOCK button 3 times, then release the UNLOCK button, the hazards should flash once, if not try step 3 again slowly, (if you have more than 1 fob just repeat step three with each one). Step 4, reinsert the ignition key and turn to ON, Hazards should flash twice to indicate programming finished. Step 5, Check that your fobs lock and unlock, Rick:thumb2:thumb2:thumb2:thumb2 This needs storing some place that is readily accesable as my memory will probably not find it again:nenau:nenau

Could not remember that, I new I had seen it, turns out I printed it off, and was just lucky I came across it by accident, I have now filed it with other Terrano stuff, probably never to be seen again, Rick

if you have NATS 1 then Patrol/Terrano/ Primera they are all the same system if you have NATS 2 then main dealer only, no way round it, we banger primeras but not NATS 2 as we run carbs not injection and there is no way round the engine disable feature, cos it uses the crank sensor via the brain and we cannot get them to talk to the ignition system, Rick

i must have nats 1 as i drove the car home with the lights flashing and the alarm going:lol wasnt far but i got some looks

Ive just got a patrol today, the fob doesnt work, and I found the control unit. Plugged in a plug and it just flashes the hazards, the car still starts though. The only fob I have is the red button one, so I assume thats not the master, any way I can get this re-set up?

Re earlier post if it's nats 1 just buy a fob and program it, if nats 2 main dealer only, 1 or 2 will be on control unit, Rick
